How to Get an Internship in the Pharmaceutical Industry?

Completing an internship in the pharmaceutical industry is a mandatory requirement for obtaining a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree. However, many students face difficulties in securing an internship placement. The following are five simple steps to help students obtain an internship in the pharmaceutical industry:

Step 1: Form a group of 3–6 members and prepare a CV. Although a CV is not always mandatory, some companies may require it during the application process.

Step 2: Select 3–4 target pharmaceutical companies where you intend to apply for the internship.

Step 3: Write a formal application on the departmental pad addressed to the Head of the Human Resource Department, submitted on behalf of your Department Head.

Step 4: Submit the applications along with the CVs to the selected companies, either through a seniors or by direct submission.

Step 5: Maintain regular communication with the companies and finalize the internship schedule once approval is received.
